All areas of planning a wedding and even beyond are represented at the bridal show including wedding dresses, photography, invitation, cakes, floral, reception sites, honeymoon destinations, entertainment and much more.
In addition to the 120 vendor booths brides will get to visit, there are also many prizes and contests to take part in.
Every bride and groom who attend will automatically be entered to win the Ultimate Wedding Giveaway. The drawing will be held on the main stage at 5 p.m. (must be present to win)
More FUN contests will take place at the show including:
Instagram Scavenger Hunt – Everyone can play. As you enter the show you will be given instructions on what items you will need to find and take photos of. The hunt is not timed so no rush. We will randomly choose one lucky winner at 5 p.m. from those who successfully complete the hunt. Winner will receive $200 to use at ANY bridal show vendor. (Winner does not have to be present to win.)
Nearly Newlywed Game – the Finals to the Made to Marry contest. Couples are predetermined by popular social media voting. Contest begins July 21st on www.facebook.com/arkbridalshow.
Make Up Your Bride – We will choose three brides and three partners (mother, bridesmaid or groom) to help them apply their wedding day makeup. The catch? They will be blindfolded! The winner receives a gift basket from the cosmetics department at Dillard’s.
Best Dressed Groom– Easily one of our most popular contests and three brides-to-be get to “dress” their groom. Each groom will have a custom-designed gown made for them by their future wife – made of toilet paper. The groom must strut his stuff on the runway. The audience will decide the winner who will receive free tuxedo rentals for their wedding.
MORE contests to come!
Prizes– Thousands of dollars worth of prizes are given out by vendors throughout the show. Drawings are taken from entries taken as you enter the event (or from pre-registration if you purchased your tickets online) We will draw winners each hour and announce the prizes and the winners at the event. Must be a bride or groom and be present to win.
The Bridal Show allows vendors to showcase products and services and talk directly with engaged couples and their families. Vendors can book appointments and establish contacts, while brides can plan their entire weddings in one afternoon. Last year, there were approximately 3,000 attendees.
The show continues to grow each year, in part because it has the marketing power of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette print and online products. We invite you and your business to participate in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Bridal Show from 12:30-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17.
